Charlotte Matdat is the Finance Manager at AFReC Pty (Limited). She started work at AFReC (UCT) in 1995 and has a strong management and organisational background and experience in office and financial management. In addition she also has excellent conference organising skills and has completed a diploma course in Accountancy, at the Varsity College, Cape Town, as well as successfully completed a Management and Administration diploma course at the Peninsula Technikon, Bellville. She has a strong interest in using information technology in management and completed courses in word processing, spreadsheets, database and finance purchasing programmes.

Her work as Finance Manager entails all aspects of financial management of research grants, contracts and providing financial reports to donors and the AFReC Advisory Board as and when needed. She also worked as a programme administrator for the Public Finance Management Programme given by AFReC and worked as administrator for the Economics of Tobacco Control Project in South Africa.
